I have just been diagnosed with fibro, no medication yet as letter from consultant hasn't been received by my gp so I found out this morning so more waiting for treatment.
I have my atos medical on the 4th and not looking forward to it, doc said he has had 2 people turned down only this morning!
This might be a silly question but does anyone with fibro have one of those medical Id things, you know the bracelet ?x

. I have a medic alert bracelet.... Not for fibro because it doesn't actually need special monitoring but because I am allergic to penecillin and the first med they give if you are allergic to penecillin plus some pain meds...
You can also get alert bracelets from many chemists where you put your conditions/medications on a piece of paper that is stored in the bracelet. Those are cheaper but obviously you are very limited as to what you can put, whereas the medic Alert service includes keeping your details on file so you can have lots of detail.
I used to have one when I was on medications and also had issues with fainting. Even if you just want to have contact details of someone to call if you are taken ill when out, it is a good idea to have something like this if you have any conditions that could cause you to be ill when out or are on medications (so A&E staff would need to know this if you were in an accident).
