Undortunately this seems to be the case ... I am one of the lucky ones I have had fibro for 23 years , diagnosed by my very newly qualified GP and once it was in my records subsequent house moves have always found GPS who are fibro friendly...if you use this link there might be a GP listed by you ... These are fibro friendly GPS recommended by people on this forum...
Good luck with your search... If doesn't turn up any by you I am sure someone will log in and suggest one for you
Good luck

i cant get the link to work?
thanks it gives me some hope x
I think their attitude has a lot to do with the fact that they can't do much for us - GPs like to be all powerful. They don't realise that just being understanding is often enough!

i had one doctor in winsford, who was lovely, even 15 years ago, he said to me theres nothing we can do but u can always come in and talk to me. that was all it needed. then we moved and they have tried me on everything over the years, then i refused anymore meds as it was affecting my ibs, diverticulosis, and hiatus hernia. i didn't want to pass out anymore with the pain in my tummy. alls i have had for years are paracetamol and diazepam, to relax muscles, but i don't take these on a regular basis just when the pain becomes to unbearable. thanks anyway.
Yup I have just got my GP to treat my symptoms as best we can with my allergies and stop looking for something to keep me pain free... I am at a tolerable pain level and am happy to stay that way . Instead of trying med after med that makes me worse
