counselling for egg sharing
All HFEA (Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority) licensed clinics have to offer you an opportunity to talk to a counsellor about the implications of any suggested infertility treatment before you consent to it. This will help you to understand exactly what the treatment will involve and how it might affect you and those close to you, both now and in the future. You may need time to think about how you feel regarding the legal rights of any children conceived using your donated eggs, and to talk about whether this is going to be the right decision for you. This form of counselling will enable you to talk freely and openly without being judged. Anything you share with your counsellor will be treated as confidential unless there are exceptional circumstances. Hope this helps. Diane
