fyremadel injection administration

Hello! For those who’ve used / are using fyremadel… where were you told inject - in abdomen or thigh? and at what angle? 45 degrees or 90 degrees? I wasn’t told explicitly, the leaflet says inject into the thigh at 45 degrees, but I’ve seen online guides by either clinics suggesting abdominal area at 90 degrees.

I used fyremadel in my UK clinic. It’s a subcutaneous injection so it can go in either your thigh or abdomen.. even your upper arm (google image sub cut injection sites)

Sub cut injections can go either 45 or 90 degrees. 45 if there’s not much tissue to pinch or if the needle is longer. I chose to do 45 degrees in my abdomen xx

tummy and they didn’t specify an angle just went straight in xx

Tummy and I tried to go in an angle pointing the tip of the needle (you'll see it's shaped in an angle itself) so that the tip will meet the skin first. I dunno if this makes sense but it means the sharp tip of the needle enters first which made it less painful.

I was told I could do it in either the thigh or tummy. I found the tummy to feel less sore afterwards than the thighs. Regarding the angle, I followed the package instructions at 45 degrees. The only thing to keep in mind is to alternate the exact injection locations. x

I agree with most people above- I was told it could be thigh or tummy, and I found tummy much better and less painful. There wasn’t any specification around the angle x

tummy or thigh - i preferred thigh (as I am well padded there…)
