High AMH but low antral follicle count?

Hello,

We have begun our second round of ICSI today. However from my scan I am feeling quite deflated.

(For context: 34. TTC for 3 years. Last round November 24. We were told I had a high AMH but during stimulation, although 15 made it to the correct size, only 5 were collected, all which did not fertilise. My oestrogen levels also were very low. All my results contradicted one another and baffled my doctors!!)

Today he said we have a low antral follicle count and has started me on menopur with daily doses of 300 from Wednesday.

Has anyone had similar experiences and turned this around?

hey Samuk14 just seen your post here from last week too- I too have a high-ish AMH for my age (I’m 37 with AMH of 21). First ivf got 9 eggs , 8 fertilised and 4 blastocysts on 150 Gonal F. 2nd round, 8 eggs, 2 fertilised and no embryos made it - this was on 175 of Gonal. So bit of mixed results when it comes to fertilisation and blastocysts, but also I expected more eggs in the first place given my AMH. Maybe just slow to respond to meds, who knows! Either way, focus for me now is to increase stim and do it in a way that can hopefully push quality a bit too. 🤞 got my fingers crossed for you with your stims too and really hope the increased dose of menopur does the trick! Do you follow Dr Tim Child on insta too? He posted this week about the difference between Gonal f and menopur with a super helpful video xxx

Just to update - had scan (5 days) and only one follicle in right ovary and 4 in my left. So so far, these numbers are lower than before. They’ve upped my dose from 300 - 375 for a final push and my 10 days may be extended to 13. X
