Can anyone give me experience good or bad of using a clinic abroad for egg and sperm donation. Time frames, cost, logistics of travelling for transfer, hiw donors are chosen and getting needed meds and test done in UK. If naming a clinic please PM me as I know your not meant to share details in posts. Thanks in advance.
Thanks

We’re using a clinic in Spain for double donation and have had a very positive experience so far. We paid €15k for a born baby guarantee which included all costs except travel and initial tests for me. Donors were found and embryos made within a month of payment and I had my first (failed) FET shortly after. My next FET is this week. I found getting bloods and ultrasounds in the UK very pricey especially if multiples are needed in a natural cycle so this time I just came to Spain for monitoring bc it’s included in the price. Amazingly, flights and hotels were still still cheaper than paying for monitoring back home! Happy to give any further details by DM if you’re interested xx
We are using a clinic in Prague for DE. They have been brilliant and the cost was significantly lower than it is here. Our first FET failed, but they were so brilliant with us and understanding. They tailored everything to our needs and i felt so relaxed when going for ur transfer. We had our initial consultation online with our DR and a co-ordinator who spoke english, we then had our bloods and scans etc here, they sent our prescription to a pharmacy in london who contacted me and then sent them next day delivery once i had paid for them. We then went to Prague the day before transfer and left the day after transfer. It was really smooth running. Although the transfer didnt work in our favour this time, I know it will next time as the Dr has changed our protocol slightly to suit. I would highly recommend going abroad. Good luck with it all, the most important thing is be kind to yourself.
