hello, I’m looking for advice from anyone who may have experienced similar.
Currently in my 11th wk of pregnancy and still suffering with OHSS which started a week after embryo transfer (I had nearly 4 litres of fluid drained at that point). Was just about coping with all the general discomfort & pain it brings when a couple of weeks ago I started getting extreme pain when going to the the toilet (both passing urine & bowel) and have a general ache in my bladder with occasional acute pain. I was convinced it was a bladder infection but tests were negative. Ultrasound showed my ovaries are still 3-4 times bigger than normal so doctors think the pain is from the internal pressure and I’ve been prescribed co-codamol.
the drugs are barely covering the pain and I’m so worried about what this is doing to me long term. I hate that no one can say when this will end.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Hi. You poor thing. Be careful the Co-Codamol doesn’t constipate you. You don’t need hard poo rubbing past sore ovaries. You must still drink plenty of water. Try not to worry about your pregnancy? Keep up with any prescribed medication, and hopefully all will continue as it should. Thinking of you. Diane
Hi. Sorry I don't have knowledge on OHSS but I wanted to reach out. I hope this goes soon and you start to feel better. I hope they sent your urine to the lab and didn't rely on those useless dip tests. (I am under uro gynae for bladder so very passionate about this subject!) I am often having to get second opinions so my advice would be keep speaking up if it's not getting better. It may be all due to the OHSS but sometimes doctors overlook things by focusing on one thing. Rest up and I hope you feel better soon. Also congratulations on your pregnancy! X
Sorry I don't have any experience of OHSS, and please let your doctors advise you. I only wanted to say my clinic told me to drink a pint of cow's milk a day to avoid OHSS. I have no idea if it would also help reduce OHSS - so perhaps ask a doctor?
I'm sorry to hear you are going through this. OHSS is horrible. I didn't get pregnant when I had it, but it took weeks to go down and was very painful. I'd take DianeArnold advice, plus high protein. If you can stomach skyr yoghurt, that's good and lots of water. Limit sugar. Have they put you on blood thinners?
