Hello everyone
I was just wondering if anyone and their husband had a cold during stim, this is a mild cold with no fever and it’s definitely not covid just feeling abit run down. Will this affect the quality of the egg or sperm?
Thank you
Hello everyone

Thank you
hi lovely , we had mild Covid (5 days) in our case my husband had a bit of fever and it did have an impact worsening sperm parameters, we tested 2 months after as we had been told to wait at least 1 month to allow for recovery . I think fever is what has the most impact so hopefully you’ll be fine if you didn’t have it, would you be able to test sperm ahead of starting treatment?
Wishing you all the best of luck !
Thank you dear I have already started stim yesterday, I’m not sure if that’s an option but I can ask the clinic.
We definitely don’t have fever or Covid it’s just a bit of snuffly nose and abit of cough so let’s see
Ahh hopefully it should be all fine, fingers crossed for you two xx
A mild cold without fever shouldn't have an impact. It is only a risk for the sperm with a more severe cold or flu with fever.
The only time that I had a successful implantation was when I caught COVID. I remember being terrified during the two week wait that COVID would have scuppered my chances, but it didn't at all. It is probably not the best thing to happen but I wanted to reassure you that it doesn't necessarily mean failure... Good luck.
thank you very much and congratulations!
My case is prior to egg collection and I’m not doing a transfer yet and my husband also has the mild cold but I’m sure it should be fine thank you for sharing xx
