Looking for experiences in suspected ectopic hard to find on internal ultra sound. Very slow decline in hcg and lots of bleeding? So hard not knowing - just lots of bloods and monitoring me closely. Any experiences?

suspected ectopic with low decline hcg
I'm soo sorry your going through this the not knowing is awful and that leaflet pregnancy of unknown location is just heartbreaking to be handed. I had an ectopic in 2019, it took the EPU over two weeks too locate it. My HGC levels kept rising and I was spotting on and off, they just kept saying maybe your dates are wrong and its too early we'll scan you and repeat bloods in 48hrs. By the time they located the pregnancy in my right fallopian tube I was 9 weeks and it was about to burst so was rushed into surgery. I had shoulder tip pain the whole time which is a sign of ectopic something to do with internal bleeding. No one mentioned or asked if I had shoulder pain until after they found it. If your HGC is dropping and your bleeding a lot it maybe that your body is just slowly miscarrying. I hope you get anwers soon. Please be kind to yourself x
I am so sorry you’re going through this. My pregnancy was found at first scan but I initially chose expectant management which means facing monitoring to see if it resolves itself. And also I had two weeks of living with low rising HCG before I got to point I could be scanned at 6 weeks. So I know how agonising it can be. I found the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust helpline and forum really helpful during that time. Sending hugs and strength ❤️
I’m really sorry you are going through this, I could definitely say it’s one of the worst thing that can happen as there is so much uncertainty around it as StarsAllAround mentioned that pregnancy of unknown location leaflet is awful enough let alone all those blood tests and scans trying to find the pregnancy and the lack of communication from the clinical team.
So I didn’t know I was pregnant as I had no symptoms and I was getting my regular periods but I had a very heavy bleed when my period wasn’t due and found out to be pregnant in a & e, my hcg was rising and went up to nearly 2000 but it wasn’t doubling every 48h. It took 2 weeks to finally see a sac in the cervix with a blood flow from upper area ( uterus ) the sac passed naturally 2 weeks after the bleed but prior to that only with 2 scans when they couldn’t locate the pregnancy as my hcg wasn’t doubling up the nhs consultant wanted to give me methotrexate straight away to close the topic which was shocking I chose the expectant management once the sac passed my hcg was going down very slowly, 2 months later ultrasound showed a retain product of pregnancy stuck in my cervix and I ended up having hysteroscopy to remove it.
To this date I am not completely sure if it was a miscarriage or cervical ectopic but the consultant was leaning towards ectopic as what they found in the cervix during hysteroscopy was in a pouch.
I hope you get an answer soon and please be kind to yourself it’s a tough experience x
thanks all for your support and kind words. I actually had an icsi pregnancy which was thought to be a chemical but then ended up in being the suspected ectopic. My beta hcg will be tested again tomorrow it’s slowly going down but I feel like anything could happen it really is a roller coaster and mentally draining! Fingers crossed it will resolve naturally but will take weeks I’m sure for it to go down properly
