HCG doubled from 1400 to 2990 :) Also scan not ectopic!!

Hello everyone, just a little update. I went back to the hospital for my follow up 48 hour HCG blood test and it had more that doubled from 1400 to 2990. They also gave me a scan and little Emby is exactly where he/she should be! I am very relieved as I was really worried I had an ectopic with all the pain I had. I do however have lots of cysts in my ovaries which explains the pain, but this is normal after stimulation. I am going back for 8 week scan in 2 weeks so feel I can finally relax a bit and enjoy the extreme tiredness and nausea that is starting to kick in! I get that but more in the morning and some days I am very thirsty x

How are you getting on, I was sure I had replied on your latest post but couldn't see that I had. I am sorry you lost little one but over the moon for your little fighter. This actually happened to my Mom when she was carrying me so I am actually the surviving twin xx

It happened to my husbands mum aswell, I feel a little sad but they told us early on what to expect. Obviously we will never forgot and in time will do something special to remember,but it wasn't ment to be and want to put all our positive thoughts into our strong one. Can't believe I will be 10 weeks tomorrow xx

I still worry everyday but I think that's normal just hoping after my 12 week scan I will relax a tiny bit lol xx

Oh congrats. I have tried to get the hospital to do me a hcg, they keep saying it is not necessary. I am due my 6 weeks scan on Monday, I am seriously waiting for that xx

I think they did it for me because I have been quite poorly, but had it done at EPU and not my IVF clinic. Good luck for your scan xxx

What was your hcg when you first took the test? Did it double properly? Why were you worried it's ectopic? Mine is not doubling properly. In my 5th week technically and hcg is 216 only. Really worried.
