So we got our first ever BFP on Wednesday 6th July and also did a blood test the same day. We got the results from the bloods this morning and the beta hcg level is 15.8 and it says this is a “negative” pregnancy test. What I don’t understand is why the pee stick today is the strongest it’s been - there’s very clearly 2 pink lines. On top of this, for the last two days I’ve felt twinges in my lower left abdomen and some back pain. It’s not so bad today but my abdomen feels heavy. No bleeding, just twinges in my abdomen and sometimes down my left leg.
I’m confused about my blood test result being negative when the first response stick says positive.
Any insight / guidance into any of the above would be much appreciated x x

Thank you for your response hoping2021. We had a second test done yesterday are are still waiting for the results. Can I ask what the outcome was for you in your situation? x x
Thank you for sharing. Do you know why you experienced a chemical? Our blastocyst was a 5 day AA, I just don’t understand why it would stop developing.
Ours was a 5aa too. We underwent an era Alice and Emma biopsy to see if there was infection, bacteria problems or if we needed to change timing of transfer. It came back saying that I needed an extra day of progesterone and transfer should be on day 6 instead of 5. We are going back in September so I don’t know if this new change will work or not. If this doesn’t make a difference we have no idea what caused it. Xxx it was chromosomally normal too.
Thank you for sharing this. I’ve been considering having an ERA to try and understand if there’s an underlying issue with me. I’m terrified to try another transfer incase the same thing happens again. Have you experienced more than 1 chemical? Are you taking any extra medication besides the extra progesterone? Sorry for all the questions I’m just trying to understand what are options are going forward! I sincerely hope your new protocol works for you! 🤞🏼 X
It’s no problem at all. Ask away. We have had 2 chemicals in a row. Plus two bfn before that. I am on aspirin, clexane, prednisolone, prolutex and progynova. They found no infection or bacteria problems so will just have an extra day of progesterone before transfer. I am hoping to check my progesterone in the tww and hopefully up the prednisolone a bit too. After this I will be looking at checking nk cell levels if I have a third chemical and immune diseases xxx
We are at a clinic in murcia city Spain. I genuinely couldn’t fault them. It hasn’t worked for us yet but through no fault of the clinic. I’m from Aberdeenshire trying to get any tests here is a nightmare
