Tummy rash TWW

Hey lovelies, this is a random one, today is day 6 after our FET and I’ve got a pink, itchy, raised rash on either side of my belly button. Spoke to my hospital and definitely sure it’s not a reaction to progesterone as I’ve been taking pessaries and injections for almost 2 weeks, but they have no clue what it is either. Has anyone else experienced this? Or have any ideas? 🤔

Honestly, it could still be the progesterone—sometimes reactions can show up after a couple of weeks rather than right away. Maybe try switching the application area (if it’s injections) or talk to your clinic about antihistamines if it doesn’t settle down. Hope it clears up soon! xxx

I experienced something very similar. I developed a rash which started days after starting my Lubion injections and it got worse over time and spread across my whole stomach area. My consultant said I’d developed an allergy to one of the meds I was taking (likely the Lubion injections). He asked me to take some over the counter anti-allergy tablets and arranged for me to do a HcG blood test on day 10. If it was negative then we would stop all meds. My test was positive and I continued with the meds and there was no impact (currently holding my 6 week baby) the rash disappeared over time.

You can try using ice in the area (esp before injecting) I found this helped too.

All the best x

Hi Ladybird, I developed allergic reaction after 2 weeks of taking progesterone injection (Lubion) sometimes it takes longer to manifest. My clinic told me to stop taking them immediately as there was a risk for getting anaphylactic shock as the rash etc started getting worse and worse with each injection.

I'm 21 weeks pregnant now, so it's been quite some time since I stopped taking them and I can still see skin discoloration in the places of the last injections 😅 so I have lovely 4 round pink patches on my thighs and 4 on my belly 🥲

I get it with the injections the longer I take them. It might just be that constantly injecting and then wearing clothes etc. rather than a proper allergic reaction to the actual hormone as it tends to go away on its own but E45 cream or something similar helps xx
