Hello. None of my treatment was NHS funded and I have been on this journey for 8 years :).
I think it’s really a personal choice when choosing a clinic. Reviews are just based on personal experience and everyone’s will differ.
I liked this one as it’s close enough for me to walk to the clinic, easy enough to catch the tube to work around my appointment times. Pharmacy in house as it’s a hospital. Saved time by ordering prescriptions with the nurses and just paying and collecting at the pharmacy. I also liked as a hospital there is always cover if I had a question or needed anything on a weekend/bank holiday.
Pricing is comparable to other clinics. Loved my doctor - he had more faith than I did at some points.
Nurses are so personable. When hubby was away on a few occasions I just pootled down to then before end of shift so they could do my progesterone shots (I was on prontogest) so needed to take it in the bum.
Accounting team are very responsive over email.
Embyogist took Time to call me and share the PGT a report - months after succcesful treatment and a question on abnormalities came up even though I was no longer under their care.
We did self funded. We were diagnosed unexplained infertility as a couple. Individually there was nothing wrong with any of us it just didn't happened. Be honest I haven't done that much research this was closest one to our home that's why I picked it.
I have the first consultation tomorrow in a fertility clinic 1, 5 hours away from home. It’s Herts and Essex Fertility Centre, it is quite far but they have good reviews and was recommended by a colleague. They also have fundings with Access Fertility.
yea Evewell Hammersmith. I’m just going through retrievals and banking eggs but getting far more eggs than I did at Lister with a changed protocol. Also the doctors do all of your scans, tests etc and so it’s far more tailored and personable.
I was at the Evewell on Harley Street and felt really cared for as a patient, they are very person centred and I loved that scans were done by my doctor - and they would open on Saturday or Sunday for egg collection if that's what was needed (seems not to be that common)
