If you’re happy to share, I’d be interested to know what your AMH is and what your average number of follicles or eggs collected were?

AMH and follicle/egg numbers
Hi 👋 my AMH is 1 and I had 6 follicles, 4 eggs collected (2 mature and both fertilised) 🤞
Difficult question to answer - it is dependant on many different factors If this something that is worrying you - have you thought about asking your clinic/ consultant about this ?

My amh was 6.4, and I had 16 follicles... They corrected 12 eggs, 10 of which were mature.
My AMH was 3.5pmol so was classed as low. I had numerous cycles of IVF. My number of eggs ranged from zero (which was devastating) and the highest amount collected was 6. My follicle count varied from I think 9 to 14 so that wasn't too bad but really struggled to get eggs from them
I think this depends on your cause of infertility. I had 20+ follicles without meds as I have pcos but had 5 eggs collected first round, 17 the second and 13 (I think) the third. My Amh was very high but I can't remember what it was. I remember the consultant saying it would be normal for someone half my age but it also dropped alarmingly.
Pcos impacts the number of follicles and eggs and their quality. Age, illness like cancer or endo also can impact the quality of your eggs so you need more to insure you have one good egg. I was told in my case, more eggs might be even worse for quality!
I've also seen others on here with low Amh very few follicles. Even less eggs and pregnant first transfer.
Your consultant or nurses would be best placed to tell you what individually you could expect given your own circumstances.
it’s not an easy thing to work out really. I had supposedly normal AFC (11), lowish AMH 6.1 pmol/l (units can vary so watch for that) and at 34 yo got 1 egg from 4-6 follicles (they expected me pre first stims to get 10-12 eggs), but did get good quality blastocyst with the one. Then had latest round at 37 yo with AFC 11, AMH 4.9 pmol/l and got 7 eggs from 9 decent size follicles, and then had nothing make it past day 3. Endo makes me a poor responder despite everyone saying my AFC is normal and AMH not too bad.
Thank you for all the replies. Appreciate it varies on a lot of factors and not particularly worried, just curious if an average can be seen.
I was told I have low AMH (2.7) and getting AFC about 12 and about 5-7 eggs. No obvious fertility issues with me and partners sperm excellent, just my age that’s the issue as 39
I had 1.32 amh, eggs collected 9. Out of which 8 matured and fertilised. 7 made to day 5 blastocyst in my first cycle itself. Baby dust to all the wud be moms..... Currently am in my 8th month....please pray for me and my baby....love to all of u..
Hiya, congratulations! What ivf round was successful? Was it back to back and what protocol turned out to be the most successful for you? Thanks xxx
Thanks. Only 1 round of egg collection was done. 1st transfer was a failure, but 2nd one is successful one. 1st one was in Aug 2023 and 2nd happened in April this year. Both transfers were FET. At our clinic, all patients have FET transfer itself as it gives more success rate plus reduces chances of OHSS. They don't do fresh transfer. Min 1 month gap is given between egg collection and transfer.
you can’t compare, it really depends on the cause of infertility. My AMH was extremely high (12) because I have PCOS. I had 101 ovocytes collected, 65 embryos created and over 35 J5. I PGD ed 15 of them, 11 came back euploids. I have three kids total and made 4 transfers in total.
hi mine is really low I can’t remember the AMH level as it was taken so long ago. Keep asking if it’s worth repeating but they advised not as it won’t change anything as it will likely be lower.
5 follicles. Had between 0 and 3 eggs collected at a time. Most frequently only one or two eggs at most collections.
Hi, the numbers also depend on your FSH levels, the higher it is the harder it gets to be stimulated even with high levels of hormones. My AMH was 5.6pmol and FSH 11.4 , had 3 collections between 3-9 eggs but only 1-3 was mature and had 1-2 blastocyst of which resulted in 1 mosaic and 1 euploid embryo. I’m 39 and currently 16 weeks pregnant with our only euploid embryo. Good luck to you x
last time I egg collected I was 36 with an AMH of 35 and 22 eggs were collected. I’m egg collecting again soon (at 38). 18 months prior to this my amh was 46. If my memory serves me correctly I had 25 follicles on the right ovary and 18 on the left. Of my 22 eggs 21 fertilised and all survived until day 3 when we lost all but 6 of them. So far we have transferred 4 of the 6 but aren’t bothering with the last two, hence the egg collection in the new year.
Our most successful cycle in terms of number of eggs collected my AMH was 22.6 and I got 19 eggs. I had around 26 follicles.. ended up with horrific OHSS xx
My AMH was less than 0.7 and I got 0 eggs. Ended up with DE IVF and have perfect twin girls who are 2.5 now 🥰 my donor gave us 9 eggs which resulted in 7 embryos. Was used 4 to get our girls.
Good luck xx
My amh was 62 but only 7 eggs collected. 4 of which mature. 3 made it to blast but only 1 resulted in a live birth
Hiii ☀️
AMH very very low 0.15 ng/ml (1.1 pmol/l )
I’m 31 and healthy.
I started doing IVF this month.
On the day of collection there were 3 follicles, with only 2 eggs. 2 fertilized. 1 embryo had 9 cells on day 3 and was transferred to me (Monday 28/10).
The other embryo I received the news today that it no longer developed and was discarded.
The only possibility is inside my belly, it's been 4 days, and I'm very confident and hopeful that it will work 🙏🏼🤞🏼
so many variables!! It’s hard to predict.
My AMH was 18 which I was told was good for my age.i have unexplained infertility but mild male factor.
I did mild IVF with ICSI - I got 7 follicles - 4 fertilised- 1 got to day 5 blastocyst.
I’m focusing on quality over quantity.
Hi Moosecake - so I understand that AMH is actually believed to be an indication of your ovarian function not eggs remaining so the number of eggs retrieved and their quality won't necessarily correspond with your AMH. And just to be aware: it fluctuates despite some publications saying it doesn't (after COVID mine tanked from 12 to 2 and went back up to 7 the next month). In the month it was 7 I had 7 eggs retrieved, 2 made it to blastocyst, neither of which were chromosomally correct. When it was >12 I had 11 eggs collected of which 2 made it to blastocyst and ended in a chemical.
