Hi, I am looking for advice please. For the ladies that have used progesterone in oil injections after embryo transfer, which one did you use please and manage to get easily from uk pharmacies? I can’t find it online from fertility for you and my clinic is in Cyprus and they don’t have it? I believe the dose is usually 1ml per day.
I will be using with vaginal pessaries too.
Finally, did you also use lubion injections into your tummy whilst on daily progesterone in oil injections too?
Thank you so much xx🙏💕

Thank you very much for your reply. I don’t seem to be able to order from US pharmacies unfortunately. But I can get prontogest in the uk now. I used Lubion and pessaries last time and I kept bleeding still so it didn’t work well for me. Therefore after my losses I really want to change something this transfer and add PIO. Hopefully I won’t be allergic to it and I am allergic to a lot of foods and I have read people can react badly to it🙏. I hope everything works out well for you x
Hello, I am using prontogest - one injection every 3 days, plus cyclogest pessaries 4 times a day. Previously I used lubion instead of protogest but never at the same time. I got mine from Asda pharmacy, and it was available easily - but it sounded like sometimes they need to order it in, so if you have a bit of time might be best to check with your pharmacy or have a call around. I have also found Asda cheaper than other places I have tried (well worth the 40 min walk to get to my local!)
Thank you so much your reply. I will check with my local Asda and see if they can help. I was advised to use it daily, so I am wondering are you finding your levels high enough with using every 3 days? Or are you not monitoring them if they are not low? Also I was recommend 1ml per day of prontogest is that the dose you are on also 1ml every 3 days? I hope it all works out well for you🙏. Thank you x
Hi Chinese13! My wife and I are using Progesterone in oil intramuscular injections and we have found it easy to pick up the meds closeby to our fertility clinic in London Bridge.
I’d say overall a couple of hundred pounds more expensive compared to when we used Asda during our first round but this time we haven’t had any anxiety with meds starting to run out and waiting around for a callback from the pharmacy to collect. That was our experience in this regard so I would only advise if you’re ordering the meds just leave yourself as much time as possible to cover any delays, etc.
We are 10 weeks today with twins and we are using daily progesterone pessaries and bi daily injections of Prontogest (progesterone).
For our previous transfer we were on tummy lubion injections and this time we are on Prontogest injections to the buttocks. I don’t believe you would be taking both simultaneously but obv double check with your fertility consultant. I hope this helps and wish you all the best on your journey! 🙏❤️
