EDIT: My period arrived on day 30 so I've been allowed another 4 tries š„³š
I have tried two rounds of clomid which is all I'm allowed unless it has brought on ovulation. First one was unsuccessful and second one... well I'm unsure. I done some clearblue ovulation tests and got the flashing smiley for a few days. I went for my day 21 blood test and the nurse didn't label it so the lab rejected my blood. The fertility nurse has basically apologised and told me to let her know if and when I get a period so that they can try and figure out if it's worked. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? What's the likelihood of being allowed a further try of clomid considering they've made the mistake of not labelling my bloods?

Thatās really frustrating! Iāve not had this happen but would certainly email the clinic to find out their position given this is their fault.
I know a friend of mine was offered an ultrasound to see if she had ovulated which you could ask for instead of the blood test if they offer this?
could they offer another drug like lentrazole (I know they also used to offer tamoxifen but I donāt know if thatās since stopped)? I know lentrazole was suppose to be better for pcos in terms of ovulation induction and tolerance too.
Thank you! I emailed the fertility nurse (she's not the one who took the bloods), and she apologised and asked me to let her know when I get my period (I don't usually get them naturally but did after the first round), I replied saying if I get it naturally am I allowed another try of clomid and she's ignored that š¤¦
If it's anything like the first round of clomid, I should be due on my period this week so will definitely suggest lentrazole if they don't offer another round of clomid, thank you for the suggestion x
Hi. Thatās awful to hear. The nurse has admitted it and I believe the clinic are responsible for their staff, so if it hasnāt worked, perhaps they will honour another cycle. Good luck. Diane
That sounds so incredibly frustrating, Iām so sorry youāve had to go through that! Hopefully, they'll understand because this wasnāt your fault at all. Fingers crossed that things become clearer soon! x
Thank you. Friends & family keep saying to put a complaint in but it's human error and I'm not really sure what a complaint would resolve tbh. I've emailed the clinic today and basically just said we aren't going to know for sure if it's worked so please can I have another try š x
