I was just wondering if anyone who has been through treatment with clomid might be able to help me. This is step one in my fertility process. I’m a healthy BMI but have irregular (virtually non existent) periods and so it is suspected I’m not ovulating.
I don’t have any friends who have been through fertility issues and feel quite lonely. I know this is only the start for me but finding it hard to be optimistic. I have no idea what to expect but have my first appointment at the Assisted Conception Unit in a week and a half.
Would just appreciate someone else to talk to who has been through or is going through something similar! I have no idea what to expect or how it all works.
Thanks so much

I’m sorry you have found yourself here. Lots of people who thought going through the same so you definitely aren’t alone!!
There are a few different drugs they can give you to induce ovulation. You take clomid for the first few days of your cycle, I then had to test for ovulation and had a blood test to confirm ovulation after. I know a friend of mine was scanned to confirm ovulation too.
It’s quite a simple process but clomid did give me pmt which wasn’t much fun and hot flushes (just to warn you).
It didn’t for us but one of my best friends has a clomid baby and another has one through lentrozole so lots of hope for you yet??( I did eventually have a baby through ivf though.!)
Hi. It works by getting the pituitary and hypothalamus glands to work together, I order to get the ovary to produce an egg. Taken on the se+ond day of period for five days. Sometimes causes headahe because of the position of he glands . Can cause mood swings too. Good luck. Diane
I completely understand how overwhelming and isolating this process can feel, but you’re not alone! I’ve been through Clomid treatment myself, and it made a huge difference for me. Like you, I had irregular cycles and wasn’t ovulating regularly. Clomid worked by stimulating ovulation, and while the process was nerve-wracking at times, it was also empowering to take that first active step toward growing my family.
Also, I want to mention that in the treatment of clomid, it is important that it be of good quality, so I spent a long time choosing a place where to buy it, decided to buy Clomid here - world-delivery-service.com/... it came of good quality and quickly, now I use only their services.
The journey can feel unpredictable, but it’s okay to take it one appointment at a time. Keep an open line of communication with your care team—they’re there to guide you through every step. Also, don’t hesitate to reach out to support groups online or locally; connecting with others can make a big difference. Sending you lots of positive energy for your appointment and beyond! 💕
