I had my first monitoring scan today after a week of 300iu meriofert and ganirelix a day. My right ovary showed 2 follicles (14/11) but my left didn’t show any response. I have a amh of 1 so wasn’t expecting loads but thought it’d be a few more as at the baseline I was showing 6 follicles. I have a rescan Monday with hopefully egg collection Wednesday, but I’m just feeling deflated.
Any positive stories of showing low and then going back and having a growth spurt? 🙏🏼

Sometimes the response to stims can alternate between ovaries just as naturally one ovary is dominant each cycle and usually switches each month. I’ve seen this with a couple of my stims. You still have 14 in play on one side though, that’s great. Also worth checking they got good views of the other ovary as sometimes it can hide behind bowel etc and difficult visualise.

Maybe it’s something like that as this is our first time. Oh my bad I meant 2 follicles at 14mm and 11mm 🤦🏼♀️. I definitely don’t have 14 on one side with my amh - I wish haha!!
She did make me go and pee again even though I peed before and she said my bladder was filling as she did the scan. So maybe that didn’t give a clear view. Fingers crossed for Monday 🤞🏼🤞🏼

For me the first scan was showing 4 follicles in one ovary and in the other one all very small so nothing available because was more lazy, and then in day 9th suddenly some other follicles catch up , at the end of the stimulation I got 9 so you really never know . Good luck to you 🌸
Hi Lutchley- This exact same thing has happened to me just yesterday so sounds like we are in a similar boat. My baseline last weekend showed 6 follicles so I felt optimistic. My day 5 stims scan yesterday showed only 5 follicles. One developing nicely (15) another smaller (7) and all the others very tiny and not really responding. It’s also my left that’s lazy! I have a scan on Monday so hoping the others will wake up soon! I too have a low AMH 1.7 so went into this with realistic expectations and the acceptance that whilst I’d love my own eggs to work out I may have to consider other options eventually. Sending lots of love and praying to the ovary gods that our next scans show the follicles have kick-started!!! Hey I'm also a similar age and low AMH, I had 6 follicles on scans and they ended up collecting 3 eggs. I was devastated when I came around, I think the stories of people collection 10+ eggs doesn’t help as you compare yourself but it helped a little to read and hear you just need one. After a rocky few days I ended up against the odds with one embryo which developed a little later than expected so waiting for a FET. My doctor also said each round can end up different so not to think the next will be the same. Sending you loads of love.
Hey, congratulations on your little late bloomer, wishing you loads of luck with your FET. It looks like I have one mature egg and with my AMH they are going ahead tomorrow with the collection. Hopefully this one is the one we need 🤞🏼 It is so tough all of this xx
