well after the 3rd time lucky frozen transfer I was awoke doting the night with the worst pain and couldnt stop bleeding . Went to early pregnancy unit who kept me there to monitor blood loss , the scan confirmed I had miscarried but my hcg bloods were over 4000 when I was going home and progesterone was only 9 , they expected progesterone levels to be higher especially being on Cylogest pessarys x 2 per day , my clinic only checked my levels before my egg retrieval last year but never check before transfer ! Has anyone any advice .

Hi lovely I’m really sorry for your loss I have just seen your question on a another post I was on cylogest 2 in the morning 2 in the afternoon and 2 at night plus 1 injection a day of Lubion I never got checked I stayed on the injections for 8 weeks I was having twins and lost one at 9 weeks I had a big bleed when I stopped the Lubion so I’m going to ask to stay on that next time till 12 weeks I would definitely recommend you ask your doc for that aswell next time it does make a difference you take care lovely xxx

I’m so sorry. I would get your clinic to check before (day of or day before) transfer so dose can be adjusted and then recheck to make sure it’s okay after the dose adjusted, I also tested again with positive pregnancy test. I’ve done my own progesterone bloods via medichecks before as it’s not too expensive, when clinic wouldn’t (as it wasn’t their protocol) xx

oh Thom, I am so sorry to read this. Sending you loads of love. Hoping your clinic agree to monitor your progesterone next time. It’s just not acceptable to leave these things to chance as far as I’m concerned. It really upsets me that we should have to push so hard at already stressful times. Take care of yourself 🤍🤍🤍

hi,

I hope you are doing ok?

The exact same happened to me in May this year. The EPU did tests and my progesterone was 8.1 but hcg was 3000. We have come along way since then and have started intra muscular injection to keep my progesterone high as it didn’t look like I was absorbing the pessaries much. Unfortunately I don’t have any success so far.

I really know how you are feeling and it’s devastating but there is light.

I am so so sorry to hear this 😢💔 I found adding lubion injection really changed things for me. My clinic don’t test progesterone either (says it is a bit pointless as fluctuates so much through the day and cycle) but agreed to add in lubion based on early bleeding and miscarriages. Thinking of you 😢 xx
