change of plan for FET - tips?

hi all, my clinic had recommended a medicated FET protocol with Prostap to downregulate. I’m 44, had a successful fresh transfer following collection previously, still have a regular cycle (26-29 days) and have endometriosis but not massively impactful since having son. I called on Tues to confirm day one and was expecting call yesterday to tell me if on treatment cycle or not (even though private, they also do NHS so space is an issue). No call came so was feeling a bit down, but then got a call this morning to say they do have space. When going through plan for appointment I was a bit confused as she said no meds. She then clarified there’s no space on medicated but the Prof had confirmed he was happy for me to be on modified natural - where they give an ovulation booster to manage ovulation I think plus progesterone to support. I’ve to go in for a check app this week but then it will be call again on day one, then scan then judge the timing etc for transfer. I’m happier not to be on prostap and will be on progesterone for less time so overall less medicated which is good, compared with HRT protocol. Just wondering if there’s any tips for anything else I should be doing at this stage to prepare for a natural (modified) cycle to help my chances? I’m doing acupuncture, taking high dose folic acid and vit d (risk of spina bifida) and exercise, drink lots water, low alcohol and eating lots of protein. Any other tips/advice or thoughts on the change in protocol? Was worried that the delay if no space would really be until Feb due to timing and Christmas break, but don’t want to risk an unlikely protocol so was pleased the prof had approved it. I’ve never done frozen as did straight from EC before so my heads a bit pickled!

Sounds like you’re doing all the right things. I add in beetroot juice and vitamin E supplements to help with lining before FETs. Best of luck x

you’ve got it all covered and more already 🤗 it will be a quicker cycle for you this way too and the odds are the same stats wise of this protocol working vs the down reg one of your cycle is regular. Your embryo is made so my advice would be to relax and do what makes you happy as if it’s gonna stick it’s gonna stick. Sending millions of luck your way! ✨💜

Great that’s really helpful thanks. Agree, trying not to get too caught up in it all - if it works it’ll work, but balancing with anything specific to do or not do. I’m happier not to have all the meds so fingers crossed!😊
