I just went through our first ICSI attempt and unfortunately only 1 egg has been retrieved and after ICSI there was no sign of fertilisation. I have low AMH (I am 36 years old and my AMH is 1.2) and my partner has male factor as well.
I went through a failed cycle in June with stimulation stopped at day 10 (very poor response). This time I went through a short cycle with 450 menopur.
I know that normally ICSI has a very good fertilisation rate (over 70%) and I was wondering if there is still hope after this failed attempt, or if this might be a symptom of other issues going on
Many thanks

Hi. So sorry this is happening, and hope you have plenty of support. Obviously you would like your own genetic baby, but only you know how far you can go before perhaps considering an egg donation. Perhaps a sperm fragmentation test too? Thinking of you Diane
I’m in the same boat as you. First round of ICSI, 2 mature, no fertilisation. I have an amh of 5.4 and husband has low morphology .
We’ve been told we’ll give it one more attempt with my eggs and after that if it doesn’t work, it would probably be best to go ahead with an egg donor.
I’m so sorry you’re in the position, sending love xx
