I had my egg collection today and only got 1 egg. There were 5 follicles (2 big, 3 small) so was hoping to get 2 or more. I now have to wait to learn if it’s even mature enough to proceed to fertilisation. But have very low expectations and feel I’m just waiting for inevitable bad news.
Anyone got any success stories from a 1 egg retrieval?
Feeling very low after a month of heavy drugs doing long protocol, plus we had to forfeit trying naturally last cycle as we were told it’d be dangerous on down reg to get pregnant. So I’m now just feeling like this has taken two months, thousands of pounds and I’m no better position than if I’d done nothing.

I know that the numbers seem to mean so much to us but the fact of the matter is, your either lucky or your not. It’s totally 50/50. There’s nothing to say that this one, don’t be the one to get you that babe. Have faith in it, it’s trying its best I’m sure!!! ❤️ Your are one day closer regardless xxx
Thank you, I’m feeling a bit more positive today. I’ve been told it was a mature and has fertilised so fingers crossed it makes it to Wednesday for a transfer.
I was similar. 5 eggs were collected but only 1 made it to blastocyst. He’s now 4! We’ve just done 3 more rounds of IVF and again we only got one frozen. I’m just waiting to be able to start my FET cycle . It’s hard to keep the hope but it can happen with one. Best of luck!
I had a call yesterday to update and on day 3 they said it was “high quality” 8 cells with only small fragmentation. But of course the real test is if it makes it to day 5 - they will update me tomorrow first thing and if it’s made it, they transfer it at 11am 🤞🤞🤞
Congratulations dear. I am also on this journey. Low amh. On long protocol buserelin injection. I just dropped my filled syringe on the floor. Feeling sad and lonely. Need somebody going through the same and feeling low and high sometimes. I feel like I did not drop the syringe I dropped everything. I am unable to understand why so emotional only wasting 0.3ml of medicine.

I’m so sorry to hear. It’s such a tough journey going through this when the chances are so slim and stacked against us. We just gotta keep going hoping we’ll be one of the lucky ones! I hope you have people looking after you while you go through this round.
Never in a million years did I expect to get a positive result from my second round, so it can happen even with low AMH - my last results came back showing my AMH was under 2 already.

We are going to go again yes but we have to wait til august unfortunately. How many eggs did u get second round? Did they change anything differently for you that you think helped? Xx
