HCG question post egg transfer

First time poster, looking for some positivity, good vibes and some info amongst the chaos... :)

I'm 42, single, been through 2x UIUs and this is my 1st IFV. Successfully implanted a 5BC fresh egg and ever since been feeling utter rubbish, like cramps, tired, sore boobs, nautious etc..

Had my bloodtest, confirming positive results BUT hcg level 61 on D15 test. Repeat test today, D18 test, hcg is risen to 101. Apparently it's good, it's rising, but not doubled, but this could still mean anything. I wont get a confirmatory scan until end of next week, and this is going to drive me crazy!

What are these levels, really bad? Slightly bad? Is the clinic being overly cautious? Can i improve or do anything to 'speed hcg' up? Am i counting this right, day for bloodtest is the post-egg retrieval day?

Thank you in advance for anyone some insights on these jungle and chaos!🤪

Chris

Hello hun, just wanted to wish you all the best of luck. I'm sorry I don't think I have anything very useful to add, except to say this early waiting part is so so hard. I also used Medichecks (or similar) for additional blood tests to try and reassure myself during this time, if that might help.

Thank you for the kind words! Yes, I did ask my clinic for more bloodtests, hoping that would show some more reassurance ( or a bit more data really) ....

hey I am not sure why they aren’t doing another set of bloods tbh. Yes they’ve risen but not quite doubled so you are right could could either way at this point. I would be pushing for more bloods 48-72 hours after your last set as that’s a long time to wait for the scan! Otherwise you can test at home with pink dye tests and see if there is any line progression as that’s a fairly good indicator of what’s going on in there. Fingers and toes crossed for you! Xx

Thank you, this is great advice ! I'll call them today and ask for a blood test for the end of the week .. see how we go with that !
