Hi. This could be down to a bit of infection. Drink plenty of water and don’t get constipated. Keep up with all prescribed medication, including folic acid and vitamin D, then test on the day recommended by your clinic. Good luck. Diane

Try to distract yourself until the test day, mindfulness, a nice cool healthy drink, some window shopping, Netflix and chill, a chat with a friend or your loved one. If you are worried about something don't hesitate to ask your clinic, they are there to help you, and We're here to support each other, you got this ❣️

Thank you . I just know it’s over in my heart . The progesterone is just stopping a bleed but even then it’s trying to break through . No other symptoms apart from wanting to kill or cry lol xx

Hope it’s not your period… apparently some people bleed all through their pregnancy so you don’t know for sure. If it is negative I’m so sorry- the same happened to me on my first transfer. It’s even worse that the negative test I think when it’s your period starting as it just feels relentless. I was so angry too, I ended up smashing glass into our metal recycling bin to get out some anger! Whatever the outcome though, you will get through this. And if it’s negative - most people have to try lots of times before success, so it’s not the end xxx

Thanks you it’s just devastating. I’m 38 so time is not on my side now . I’ve been trying for a baby since 35. It will mean another egg collection and with my age this is not likely to result in lots of eggs and even if it does after testing it’s likely I’ll get none . I’m so mentally exhausted xx

I’m 43… we are using donor eggs but still not having any luck! It’s all so bloody hard. My partner is struggling too now which is making it even worse- he used to be quite positive and it helped me through but I think he’s losing hope too. But I know people who tried 11 times and were successful when they were 45… so have to keep the faith! Sending luck and hope for you

Oh gosh it’s such a journey. I’m 38 but never been pregnant . The effect on partners is awful isn’t it . I feel I get so wrapped up and he hurts silently but it comes out as anger sometimes .

I really hope you get your baby dust to . I’m been thinking of donor eggs xx

We are using a clinic in Alicante called “institute bernabeu”- it is so so good, like a different world than UK clinics, everything runs like clockwork and the clinic is a like a modern art museum. Sadly even they can’t control the outcome though!

Have a look at their website. They have an agreement with Guys hospital in london (not sure where you’re based but they may have other links too) so you can do scans and stuff here and go there for the transfer. You get allocated a patient coordinator and they help you with everything, and answer emails in about 30 mins max. And everyone there is so lovely, warm and helpful. Honestly almost enjoy the transfer with them 😂

They also have links to the Surrey park Clinic in Guildford if you are Surrey based. That’s the clinic I used. X

My friend went to a clinic in Barcelona .

I’d love to go to one that I’m not waiting 2 hours to get a scan and blood test or never seeing my consultant and then paying 10k! Xx

I’m 10 weeks pregnant and I’ve been brown spotting quite a bit throughout. I had my 7 week scan and heartbeat was fine, the next day I wiped and had a lot of brown mucus. That night I was cooking tea and I gushed lots of red blood (about a cup full). I went to the early pregnancy unit for a scan and baby with heartbeat was doing fine. No explanation could be given as to what happened.

So please don’t think it’s all doom and gloom. I’ve read spotting is very common in IVF and I have heard of people to spot through out their pregnancy. Also in early pregnancy it’s down to implantation. x

Thank you . I just know the period symptoms and I have had that before I’m on so much progesterone I think it’s just holding off .

You’d think I’d have sore boobs etc from the progestrone ( oil injections and pessaries) but I’ve got nothing . Cramps from constipation and the mucus and the rage lol xx

I had bright red bleeding the evening before my 2WW test day & was convinced I was out. I was shocked that the test the following morning was positive & despite cramps & bleeding on and off the scan at 7 weeks was fine. I had further bleeding after that with clots & had an extra couple of scans which showed that the bleeding was away from the yolk sac but nothing since week 10. Try not to stress about it & keep taking your meds.

Wishing you all the best x

Oh gosh! but congratulations on your pregnancy! That would have freaked me out! If I had not had the crying then rage I would have remained hopeful xx

Thank you. My mood has been all over the place from early on honestly & the fatigue kicked my ass for the first few weeks.

Hopefully the brown mucus was just related to some irritation. I had to switch my progesterone from the vaginal to rectal route as it was getting rather uncomfortable. A lot of people experience bleeding from the cervix so lots of possible reasons for discharge / bleeding. X
