Embryo transfer dos and don’ts

Okay, so 2nd time round and we made it one step further to egg retrieval (only one egg) and tomorrow it’s embryo transfer day.

I was told to have a full bladder, not to wear perfume, and either no make up or minimal makeup.

I currently have both toes and fingers painted with gel nail varnish, and I forgot to ask if I should remove it before the transfer. I’ve looked online, but seem to find a lot of contradictory information. Can anyone offer any advice please? Thank you.

transfer is fine for nails it’s a really easy process basically like a smear less than 10 mins for most people 🤗 best of luck! Xx

Mine has never mentioned nails but ask for fragrance free/ skip products. So unscented shower gel, no deodorant/ perfume/ aftershave for either of you if attended with partner or friend. Sending you lots and lots of luck xx

Hi . I would make sure you take all jour prescribed medication including folic acid and vitamin D. Drink plenty of water to prevent infection, and don’t get constipated. A little exercise and keep busy. If you drop anything, sit down to pick it up and have a little rest too. Obviously keep up with the sensible diet. Good luck. Diane

Hi it’s the strong smells that are a problem so if nails done a while ago not a problem. Good luck Xx
