Cancelled cycle due to bad response

Hello everyone, I am posting this for a Friend who is in need of experiences and feedback on her situation. Her cycle was cancelled because her oocytes (eggs) did not grow during stimulation. She has looked into various causes (her amh is good) and thinks that it is due to deficiency in estrogen. She wants to use estradiol patches for her new cycle. Has anyone experienced similar issue, and what are your thoughts about estradiol patches.Thanks in advance, every thought counts

I've used estrogen patches before, and they help keep hormone levels steady, which supported the development of my endometrium.

It’s always best for her to talk to her doctor to understand why her cycle was canceled and if estradiol patches could be a good option for her. Good luck! x

Hi - not widely known (from research I did anyway) but I had a poor response to stims after a nasty bout of COVID - and had to abandon the cycle. So if she's been ill recently (flu, gastroenteritis, COVID) this can all apparently have a physiological response on your body and affect your whole fertility system. Just something to be aware of in case applies! Hopefully her clinic can advise further about estrogen

Good morning, thank you so much for the input. I forwarded your reply. A side note: I Can safely assume that I had a cycle After COVID ( had tombe hospitalized) and although I did have 6 embryos (at different stages) none implanted. I was linking that to covid.

Oh am sorry to hear that - sounds like you had a really terrible time. I know doctors are cagey about suggesting whether it does or not as there simply isn't enough research but my body hasnt cooperated at all after having COVID in May - and I think I have the bloods to prove it as well! My AMH dropped from 12 in March to 2 in June and at the start of July went back up to 7 (given it's not meant to go up and down it can only be the COVID?). So am thinking body knows best! Am just about to try a new egg collection.... Exactly 3 months since I had COVID..so here's hoping! Am sorry to hear about your egg collection but I agree with you completely. Hopefully your next one will go much better with it out of your system xx
