1st scan after BFP

I’m loosing the plot over all this dating malarkey but now I’ve sussed that I’m 2 weeks from EC 9th March meaning I’m 5 weeks today and the clinic have given me a scan date of 23rd April meaning I would be 8 weeks 3 days ?? If that’s all correct is this later than normal I’ve seen folk writing they have had scans at 6weeks 🤔🤔🤔 all this waiting is driving me mad but Ano all good things come to those who wait ☺️☺️

Hi LCB83. I always scanned at 7/40 wks. Easier to date everything. 8/40 wks is fine, you will be given correct dates and measurements. You could always pay for a private one if you don’t want to wait. Hope all is well when you do go. Diane

I’ve been given my first scan on 13th April. This would make me a couple of days before week 8. Another 2ww 🙈 xx

I would wait as long as possible as results are so differing, confusing and emotional early on. Xx

I am 5 weeks today, iui was on 9th march and my scan is booked for the 10th. If they busy perhaps that's why u got to wait so long. It's torture this waiting isn't it but on the plus side u should have a nice scan photo at 8 weeks. I am thinking of paying for a private scan about 8 to 9 weeks myself. Could you ring them and check if there's any chance u can be seen earlier ? X

Thank you everyone probably better at 8 weeks then as u say better scan picture hopefully !! It’s just torture waiting about and feel like such a long 4 weeks since our bloods . We could pay private I suppose at the clinic for another scan but I’ll see how I feel next few weeks 😬😬

Different clinics have different time scales and anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks I think is totally normal
