Basal body temp dip - miscarriage?

Morning - I'm 6 + 1 weeks and I've used Natural Cycles for years to track my cycle, and since ovulation my temperature went from 36.3-5 to consistently hovering around 36.9. However I measured my temperature Monday and this morning, and it's dropped to 36.7 (have attached a screenshot of my graph).

I've also been experiencing some cramping (really sharp kind of pain) but no bleeding. Does this mean I'm losing the embryo? I took a pregnancy test yesterday and was positive still, and have my early scan next Monday. Has anyone else experienced a dip in their basal body temperature when pregnant that then continued on with their pregnancy?

Maybe dip in your temperature is due to the recent change in the weather Cramps can happen in early pregnancy due to hormone changes and increased blood flow Hope it settles down

Take care

I wasn't tracking my temperature but I got a bit obsessed with my heart rate after finding out I was pregnant. Initially it went up quite significantly for the first week or so and I was pleased as I understand it goes up in pregnancy. Then when it dropped I started freaking out as some people online said this indicated a miscarriage for them. Eventually I just stopped wearing my fitness watch as I was obsessing about it. At the end of the day the way you test for pregnancy is through a pregnancy test, an hcg blood test and/or early scans. If you could figure it out accurately through temperature or heart rate tracking then that would be an official way to test, but it isn't, for a reason as there are lots of other factors that affect those things other than pregnancy. I also had a lot of cramping on/off for the first few weeks and some spotting. All was good on hcg test and then early pregnancy scans and I'm now nearly 14 weeks. The other thing I did was around every 4 days at the start I did the same brand of home pregnancy test first thing in the morning and could see this was getting darker so provided some reassurance, however that could also be inaccurate so the best option would be hcg bloods and/or early scan when possible.

Thank you so much! Yes, I think I'm going to stop taking my temperature too.

I used to track my temperature and had the same thing where it dropped one day and thought it was bad news, I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant though, so my advice would be stop looking at your temperature (i did after the scan), I think a few things can affect it and not mean anything is wrong. Hope your scan goes well next week. X
