Taking meds on holiday

hi all, I’m due to start my first medicated FET cycle soon and within the first couple of weeks of this I’m going abroad (for some sunshine!). My clinic are aware and happy for me to go- I wondered if anyone has experience of travelling with their medication? Will I need a letter or will it be ok? I’ll have about 25 elleste/progynova tablets with me. Thanks so much in advance xx

For peace of mind you can ask your clinic to do you a letter. You may not need it but knowing you have it if needed will help you keep relaxed. This is what I did when I was going abroad and had medications to carry x

Hiya, good luck with the FET! I had the opposite as my clinic was in Greece and I live in the UK. They gave me letters to travel back home with all my meds but nobody asked to look or wanted any proof or cared at any point during travel. So depending on your destination and their security you might be totally fine or worse case you get searched and you show your clinic letter. Enjoy the sunshine!

Your will be totally fine. I have my treatment abroad and I'm constantly carrying meds. I do have a letter incase anyone asks but In 2 years I've never been stopped or asked. Enjoy your holiday.

I was worried about that too but turned out to be totally fine. I didn’t need a letter or anything.

You will be absolutely fine with no letter. I am on holiday at the moment and had Clexane injections in my hand luggage just in case my checked in suitcase got lost. I travelled with BA and they were in a transparent plastic bag- no questions asked. Enjoy your holiday and good luck with the FET! 🤞🏼

I also live in the UK and my clinic is abroad. I was asked for the letter twice and also got stopped at security at the airport so to be on the safe side ask for a letter from your clinic. Good luck x

Thanks lovely. I’m totally risk averse so I’ll be asking for a letter!
