Saving money on meds

Hi there,

This topic has been covered many times in this forum. It was from here that I was given the idea to go to Asda in the first place as a possible cheaper option for IVF medication. I know everyone has different experiences but just thought I would report back on mine... I called Asda to get a quote for my IVF prescription for my round 2. They couldn't have been more helpful (although this may be to specific branches). In total I have saved £285 from the quote I was given from Stork which is through my clinic. Just thought it might be helpful to know to help others also make a saving if possible.

I also went to ASDA rather than buy the drugs through my clinic (my clinic didn't seem impressed by my insistence I source them privately, and made it as difficult as they possibly could for me to do so, I gather they make a profit from the drugs on top of the insanely expensive treatment!). Anyway, overall I've saved a few hundred pounds. Yes, you read that right! A few hundred!!!

I got quotes and found out my clinic does a price match with Stork. Just thought I'd let you know in case it's useful to anyone x

🙌 same, Asda has been much cheaper for us too compared to stork. They do look at me like I’m mad when i ask if they sell needles 😂 they don’t apparently, but can get needles online 👍 xx

My Asda would have given me needles but actually my clinic said they would prefer to supply free of charge. Maybe worth checking with them just in case? X

I never new you could get drugs from Asda pharmacy too.. could have saved a bit of money if new & used the money on an extra pair of shoes for myself 🤣🤣
