For anyone who was pregnant more than once, were your 2ww symptoms different each time or roughly the same?

I’m just wondering whether you can feel nothing in one pregnancy and get cramps/anything else in another and they both end up as BFPs for the same woman/body?!

Mine were different. I think the only common denominator was that I had brown spotting after transfer the two times I tested positive (first time was a chemical pregnancy). I actually had more breast pain and bloating during my chemical than I did this time round. I was convinced it hadn't worked because of that and I'm now 14 weeks pregnant! Good luck x

Yes, 4 transfers, 3 BFPs and 1 BFN, and of that 1 succesful pregnancy (the others were early losses and one PUL). Each time the 2WW symptoms were different from feeling definitely pregnant, to absolutely nothing, to one off intense cramps, to spotting and bleeding. No correlation with how far along the pregnancy got, HCG level or it ultimately working. I think that early it's pretty much all the meds and even then your body can react very differently each time. My actual pregnancy symptoms didn't hit until more like 5/6 weeks and then they were unmistakable. I've also since had a successful natural pregnancy that was different again (even how intense the morning sickness was and how long it lasted compared with last time). That's just my experience but hope it helps reassure you.

Thanks! That’s really interesting… I’m on a completely natural cycle this time (IUI) and I’m just convinced it didn’t work …

I’m sorry that you have had a tough time with this - it’s really hard xx

Yep, my first pregnancy I’d say the only symptom was a lack of PMS, to the point I actually felt pretty upbeat and energetic. The second two were the exact opposite - groggy and knackered.

Wow it’s interesting that even in the same women it’s different each time!
