5 and a half weeks pregnant and been testing every day with cheapies (clear and simple brand) just as a reassurance which has kind of backfired today. The line is very obviously lighter in comparison to yesterday's test. I tried diluting but it looked lighter too. I've not got any cramps or bleeding at all but this is driving me crazy. Please could someone share their experience? xx

Hi, I am in same potion. I am 5 weeks but I am bleeding and in a lot of pain. Can you not go to the hospital and have your bloods done. I had bloods done 48 hours ago and then again this morning. I am waiting yo hear but I know the outcome already. Sending love
So sorry you are going through this. I am waiting for my blood results to come back. Just clinging on to some hope at the moment and reading positive experiences do help xx
Hi, I’m sorry you’re going through such a stressful time. I know it’s easy for me to say, but I’m not sure it’s very good for your mental health to be testing every day. You can’t test every day for the next 9 months. You should be reassured that you don’t have any worrying symptoms, and hopefully you will be further reassured by your blood test. I know it’s difficult - I’m going through the same. If only there was a little window in our abdomen that we could just peek through to check everything is ok! Good luck x
hello, I was testing every day at the start too and found that to see a really difference between tests, I usually had to wait two days as that’s how long it takes for HCG to double. Tests taken just a day after each other looked similar and sometimes lighter to me, but when I left a gap of a day, I saw progression. Hopefully this will be the case for you too
hi. Could just be hormonal. Make sure you keep up with your medication as prescribed including Folic acid.Keep an eye on your urine output just in case you’ve developed a bit of an infection and drink. Plenty of water. Look forward to your scan and I hope all is well.. Diane
I know how hard it is even when you get your BFP you move to another level of worry and panicking. The best advice I can give you, is to stop. You are already driving yourself crazy and that obsession to test daily will make you more anxious. The best advice given to me by my fertility nurse was - if there is no fresh blood and you are not in pain - assume All is Well, which then became my affirmation that I would say in moments of doubt to get me through. Please try this for both your mental wellbeing and for your pregnancy. Best wishes xx
I was told the same, if there’s no pain or fresh blood to assume everything is ok. I don’t know if you tested at a slightly different time or had had much fluid at all that could affect the line but it could be multiple factors. It’s such a worrying time, I know how exactly how it feels, I’m a lot further along and still check for blood every time I pee. I do agree with the ladies on here who are saying to try not to test daily though xx I hope everything is ok and wish you the best for your scan! You could always go and ask for bloods if you need reassurance at this stage x
I think you might just be stressing over the test strip that is faulty. Please try not to put your mind under so much stress by testing yourself everyday. Your body and mind need to be at peace to enable it to use the energy in growing this precious baby. Think about it this way, will testing change anything? I don’t think so. I know it’s hard, especially if you’ve had miscarriages before, but for now you need to try to teach your body and mind to trust the process. You still have a long way to go in your pregnancy, don’t let it start with these kind of stressors.
Thank you ladies for all of your comments. My bloods showed that my hcg was at 21 which is way lower than it should be at this stage. So my levels are dropping. I still don't have any cramps or bleeding but they think it's coming soon. I can't believe they are putting me through this again knowing I had a history. I rang them as soon as i found out but they didn't do anything for me because it was so early. And now here I am waiting for my 7th pregnancy to end. GP, EPU, Gynae and even my Fertility clinic won't do anything knowing what's happened to me before. It's like they just don't believe me because my results seem normal to them. I don't know what to do to get them to listen to me.
oh I’m so sorry to hear this, I had everything crossed & hoped that the lines weren’t important but I think everything we’ve been through we can’t help but notice every single detail and our instincts are so strong, I hope your ok under the circumstances your coping x
Yes they just said there is nothing they can do apart from helping me conceive. But my problem isn't conceiving. It's maintaining the hormones for a viable pregnancy.
How many progesterone suppositories are they putting you on? For this frozen cycle I’ve been on four estrogen tablets a day & 6 400mg progesterone suppositories my clinic done it’s own research by testing progesterone levels before egg transfer and found a lot of women’s progesterone levels weren’t high enough and increased from two a day to six
They are not giving me any. They won't acknowledge there is a problem there because the one time they did my day21 progesterone it was on 43. It's so exhausting having to explain the same thing over and over again.
Atm unfortunately I don't so my plan is to use this experience as evidence to get them to offer me more support. If not I'd be forced to change clinics xx
