Random start IVF

hi, has anyone been on birth control pill to time treatment and not got their period? My clinic are saying if I have an ultrasound scan, I may be able to start stims for egg collection without having a bleed? Anyone done this?

I was prescribed norithisterone from days 19-25 of my cycle to schedule a bleed on day 28 to start ICSI cycle. However it took 10 days to arrive - their advice was just to wait it out and then reschedule scans etc when bleed arrived. Not sure whether it would have been possible just to go for it as you describe?

we are having our ivf abroad that’s the only thing so we already have things booked and it isn’t as easy to just reschedule etc. We are going for around 8 days. I have had my ultrasound scan this evening and my lining is thin and my follicles are small so I’m hoping that the clinic say we can still go ahead. I was told that 10% of women don’t get a withdrawal bleed from birth control always and actually I have read online that you don’t always need to bleed to start stims. I will see what my Doctor says tomorrow🤞🏼
