Hi there, just found this forum on NHS site (no one has ever recommended it to me which I find strange). I had a laproscopy in Feb 2022 and they removed stage 4 endometriosis, I am glad I had it, so that it removed the endo, but i felt by Oct 22 the endo was back as peroids hadnt improved and I was still bed bound at the start of my peroid. I started to try from Sept 22, and have fallen pregnant once but had a misscarriage in Dec 22. I am now awaiting my first round of IVF, ive not bee n explained anything as yet, so would just like to know how anyone with endo that had a laparoscopy, went on to have successful IVF and how long it took etx. is the IVF process a long process? I will google and look it up too, just wanted to hear from anyone in a simular situation as I have friends and family but dont always soeak about it as they dont understand or say the wrong thing.
Thanks in advance x

Hi, i had an endometriosis, nd had laproscopy in December 2020, my both tubes were also blocked, and had tuberculosis in uterus, in laproscopy they removed the cyst and open the left tube, after that doctor asked me to try naturally for conceive but even after 1 year i didn't get pregnant, in December 2021 we decided to go for ivf nd started the treatment. One day before egg retrieval got corona positive, so they stopped the treatment, in February 2022 started the process again, only 8 eggs were retrieved 3 eggs successfully fertilized, and they did 3 day transfer, one got stuck. Now mother of one child and after nine months of giving birth to my boy, got pregnant again naturally and now 8 months pregnant. Hope this will help you.
Aww congratulations and thank you for replying, it really helps as its like minded people on here, as my friends that just fall pregnant dont have any idea how to react etc ...is the IVF process really gruelling? how long does it take from start to finish with IVF?
Every ivf centre has different protocols, like where i received the treatment, for 6 months they put me on hormonal injections, progesterone i was getting 3 injections daily and sometimes 5 injections in a day, that was the hardest part, otherwise everything was normal, and totally on bed rest.
If you feel the endo is back then I'd maybe look into that as well. The wait lists are long so might be worth getting the ball rolling.
I had endo and it took me I think around 4 years of fertility treatments to get my happy ending, but for many it's a lot quicker. I also had a lap before I was successful. Was yours in a specialist endo center? All the best xx
Hello, thank you for your reply it wasnt a specialist centre, but it was a private hospital via the NHS if that makes sense. I think they will just go ahead with IVF but not been told anything yet. how long before u fell pregnant, did u have your laproscopy? x
I got pregnant 8-9 weeks after my lap. But I had already gone through IVF and had my embryos frozen. I kept having chemicals so that's why we went for the fresh lap before transferring another one of my frosties xx
