IVF and Endo pain

Hi

I am here to complain about my endo pain! I have severe pain as a result of iVf on my ovaries they are trying to cope with producing eggs. I have endo cysts on both. I am on my second cycle. It hurts so much that I wake up from sleep due to the pain and use heat on my back to try to cope. Hopefully my follicles will be collected soon.

Has anyone ever undergone anything like this?

I am contemplating having endo removed before any future cycles - if they can conserve my ovaries. Having a chat with a gyane on Wednesday to see what they can do.

Anyone been through the same thing? How did you cope? I am gritting my teeth. Trying my best!

I do hope you don’t need more cycles! But great that you are seeing a gynae about it soon. I guess the only positive is that the pain suggests the ivf meds are working. You know you can take paracetamol as well as using heat, right? I know it’s not the greatest painkiller but better than nothing...

True - I guess they are working. I am going to try to do one more cycle. But after some rest. My first cycle didn’t work out great but I have read it’s often trial and error with them. Again until I know my ovaries can be saved I won’t be doing anything too brash and collecting as many follies as I can. Thanks for your support 😘❤️

Hi Minchoo. Oh dear! Seems like your follicles are competing with the cysts! Fingers crossed they will win and hopefully you will get a good few eggs collected. Fingers crossed it does work for you, but if not, as you say, maybe tidy up those endometrial cysts if possible, before carrying on. Thinking of you, and hope all goes well next week. Diane

Hi Minchoo, sorry to hear what you are going through. I feel your pain. I went through horrendous pain whilst going through ivf stims before egg collection due to my severe endo. My dr had warned me prior to ivf however that endo sufferers will experience a lot more pain throughout the ivf journey. I coped by taking paracetemol, using hot water bottles, hot baths and just trying to get through each day thinking positive. Egg collection will be worth it, so hang on in there. My horrendous pain managed to get me 13 eggs. Good luck x

I am on natural modified. I am on my second cycle. The first only produced 1 and I have two in this cycle. Going to have a break and lots of exercise, serrapeptase, DHEA, Acupuncture and turmeric tablets between my next cycle.

Glad I am not alone - in all of this. Wishing you a BFP - it’s such a struggle! I do wish baby dust for everyone xx

Thank you, mt fet is in May. We got 13 embryos so I really hope we dont have to ever have egg collection through ivf again. Believe that this is your round. Eat well, stay happy and carry on doing the things you are doing. You are not alone x
