Hello,
Has anyone used embryo glue? If so please can you tell me about your experiences, how it works, what happens in the procedure.
Also if possible how much you paid for it (I don’t need clinic names).
Thanks so much xxx

Embryo is put into the embryo glue solution so it’s then just like a normal transfer. Was included in my package but I think it’s around £300. Didn’t work for me but my friend just tried it and it did x
It was used in all of my treatments. 3rd time worked. Good luck! xxx
hi Daisy, hope you’re well, we had this on our last transfer it’s same procedure for the transfer but they put the embryo in the hyaluronate solution , there’s no conclusive research about it but it doesn’t do any harm, I think it was £100 with our clinic x all the best of luck xx
Our private clinic use it as standard on FETs unless you opt out - the first FET we had worked after two early losses so it certainly didn't hurt. But then the next FET trying for a sibling was a BFN. The clinic's materials said there's not much evidence for it but because there is a little and no risk they always do it unless you ask not to. So it was included in the price for us and not sure how I would feel if I had to pay extra for it.
I asked about embryo glue after my 2nd failed round and my clinc said they had stopped offering it as there is zero evidence it actually does anything and is just an unnecessary cost, I had a successful round after that without the glue. This was just over 2 years ago and they still don't offer it. Have a look at HFEA and there traffic light system for IVF add ons before making your decision. Good luck 👍
Thanks for taking the time to respond. I’ve read that it’s amber on the hfea. It’s so difficult as after a number of failures you feel like you want to be doing something different to try to change the outcome x
Hi Daisy-Delilah we decided to give it a go for the first time on our last transfer and which was successful. We paid £325 at a London clinic. Like you say, although there is no concrete evidence it works, after two unsuccessful transfers we were keen to try something different. (We also switched from natural to medicated cycle).
Good luck!
My clinic use it as a given and worked first time x
