Can progesterone pessaries delay a period? (9dp5dt)

Hi ladies,

Did any of you get a delayed period from progesterone pessaries? I'm 9dp5dt today and period was supposed to come on Friday (natural FET so natural cycle). Apart from some brown spotting yesterday which has calmed down today, period still isn't here.

I don't want to get my hopes up but I'm too scared to test. Can't handle seeing another negative. OTD is Wednesday...

Hi, yes it can in my experience. When I had an early miscarriage the clinic told me to stop taking the progesterone and it took about a week before my AF to arrive.

Yes it can. Some women still bleed on them but I never have. I’ve had two bfps and two bfns and never got af on the bfns for a few days after stopping them. It doesn’t mean you won’t get your bfp either way. Your spotting could be a good sign 🤞 xx

I know. Every step of this treatment really is cruel. It’s the feeling of having no control over the outcome no matter how hard you try. You’re not out yet! Good luck xx

Yes, I have never gotten my period on progesterone, normally need to wait 3 days after stopping the meds for it to arrive xx

My clinic told me that the pessaries will stop your period and so lack of period sadly isn't a sign in the conventional sense. I hope all goes well with you and hopefully the spotting is implantation xx
