inconclusive scan

Hi all, sorry I’m not sure if this is allowed here or should be in the pregnancy group.

I had my viability scan at 7 wks today after a FET in Jan.

Lady couldn’t find the heartbeat then said at the end she could see some flickers and thinks there was a heartbeat 118bpm but couldn’t be 100% sure. There was a gestational sac and yolk sac and fetal pole, measuring 1 week behind.

I have adenomyosis apparently which is anterior and made it harder for her to see.

she didn’t want to put the heartbeat down as it would make it viable, she said if she doesn’t I can come back for another scan. She said she was hopeful it would be ok.

I’m beside myself, don’t know what to think 🤷‍♀️

Any experience of this ending well (or not?)

Hi 👋. That sounds so confusing for you - sorry it wasn't straightforward. Did they say when you would be rescanned?

Personally I'd head to your local EPU and ask to be seen/scanned there.

Hi Teddybear, I’m so sorry you’re going through this it sounds awful. Surely the sonographer should have sought a second opinion. Could you get in at your local EPU. Fingers crossed everything is fine but just a little difficult to see.

I had a scan recently with awful news and it completely knocks you for six. Fingers crossed your outcome is much more positive xx
