last Thursday we got semen results and it was a shock as all parameters are below the normal ranges and it was mentioned that ICSI would be suitable.
We are a little bit lost. Our GP referred us to UCLH fertility clinic, is there someone that experienced this already and what is the delay for them to contact us ? Thank you so much

Hi Elga, the waiting time depends on how they prioritise your case. They have certain factors which they prioritise. If I were you I would contact the hospital to ask for current wait times. You can email the fertility clinic there and ask them when to expect your initial appointment. A nurse told me recently that some patients are waiting 6-8 months. Good luck x
I was Homerton for ICSI but had my baby at UCLH. All same trust. I kinda wish I’d been at UCLH for it all… Homerton were good. But the set up is just a lot bigger at UCLH!
I’d guess around 6 months assessment to transfer but they’ll be able to tell you. Good luck with it all and keep chasing if you don’t hear anything xx
hey, I’m in a similar position. Having ICSI at UCLH. I believe my wait time was around 4 months but it’s hard for me to remember. That’s for the initial appointment and then I think another 3 months wait to confirm we had funding. We had our first transfer in September and our second one should be in a few weeks. So it’s looking like 5/6 months between transfers. I think we were moderate priority. X
Thank you for your reply. I see … we have to be patient it seems… do you know how they define the priority ? I didn’t know they were putting priority …
I’m not sure but I recall them saying we were medium priority. It’s possibly due to age, I would guess that would be one factor. A 30 year old with good results would probably lower priority than a 40 year old. I’m speculating though.
