Cycles between transfers

Hello, and Happy New Year to everyone. I had a failed fresh transfer in early December, and had my "withdrawal bleed" the day after stopping progesterone. My clinic have said once I have my first normal period we can start the process for the next transfer.

I'm just wondering how messed up my cycles are likely to be after all the meds I took for the EC/transfer? I usually ovulate late, around day 17/18, and get my period 10 days after positive ovulation test, without fail.

I haven't done any ovulation tests or anything as I just needed a break from everything over Christmas, but I had EWCM on days 17/18, which is normal for me. However after a couple of days the EWCM has come back and there's a lot more than I ever usually have, even around my most fertile days. Just wondering if anyone has a similar experience, or any suggestions what this could mean, I've never had much CM in my luteal phase before and wondering if this means my cycle is going to be extra long. Could the meds from my last transfer have boosted all my hormones to produce more CM than usual? Is that even a thing?

in my experience your cycle can either be all over the place or return straight back to normal period wise and be spot on. Every time has been different for me. Ovulation usually is a bit more extreme after egg collection month though and I can usually really feel it (assuming because my ovaries had be been poked and prodded the month before) so it could well be that for you. I’m afraid it’s just a wait and see situation but hopefully you get started soon xx

Hi Connie, I had to wait for my period 21 days after withdrawal bleed. Also had 1 day of spotting in between which I’ve never had before. I guess everyone’s bodies are different. Hopefully yours will come soon.

Similar situation as you . My transfer was 25th November , fresh transfer . My cycle wasn’t affected at all. I tracked ovulation and ovulated as usual . However I have experienced the opposite with cm . I’m going for a medicated frozen cycle this time . Xx
