Wait between frozen cycles: what does one natural cycle mean?

Hi all! I feel a bit stupid asking this- should know the answer by now but feeling confused...My clinic is Guys in London. They like people to have one natural cycle after a failed cycle before starting again. I've just had a failed FET and have decided to go ahead again ASAP as we're lucky to have a couple more embryos in storage. Does that mean I notify them on Day 1 of my next period (first natural bleed after the failed cycle) and then start Buserelin on day 21 or do I contact them on the first day of my following period? Any ideas? Just trying to work out some rough dates of when things might fall...Thank you!

Two bleeds - the one of the failed cycle, and the one a month later where you can start again. If you're starting on short protocol, your hence stimulating a month earlier than when you're on long protocol, because of which day of the cycle you start. Good luck!

Hi missyr I'm in the same situation as you And all I can think about is my next hospital consultation. My hospital advised me they give you a 8 week appointment so you and your body have time to get back to normal then you can start treatment .

Would it be ok if we keep intouch on this forum as we will probably be starting treatment again ( frozen cycle ) at the same time ??? .

Hi there Eh17. I know, I was relieved I didn't have to wait too long to have another appointment. I don't cope well with all the hanging around! The doctor I saw was really nice and she was saying that lots of women feel really rushed but she encourages people to take time to re-group and psyche themselves up for another cycle. I absolutely understand that and can imagine feeling like that too but right now, I'm not there and just want to get on. How many previous cycles have you had? Yes, let's definitely stay in touch. I guess we need to try and make the most of the next drug free weeks!

It was my first attempted ( frozen cycle ) . Have 3 little ones left so thinking maybe have 2 implanted next time ?? I know that doesn't mean it will be more successful but it's worth a shot 😘

I thing that you should tell them at the beginning and at the end of your first post FET cycle.

Yes, you are correct about "notify them on Day 1 of my next period (first natural bleed after the failed cycle)".

Also you can ask them about some activities before next IFV attempt\FET, like acupuncture, endo scratch, etc. So you`ll increase your chances in future.

Hi Missy. Im abit late apologies. I am with guys too and would say on average you will have a 3 - 4 momth gap between....i had my first fresh cycle in August 16 which i got my period before test day, 2nd (fet) in December was negative, 3rd in April which was positive but i miscarried at 6.5 weeks (10 days after the test) and am now 6 days post embryo transfer from my 2nd fresh cycle. I know you will prob want to rush onto another round but your body needs time to heal. Also guys have a big waiting list to see a consultant after failure so try get an apt ASAP then you willprob be able to start stimms following your natural bleed.
