How long form your frozen fresh transfer did you do the next transfer?
Had a failed fet July - withdrawal bleed came in the two week wait.
Then had a period 1st august and starting the FET process on day 21 of this month (birth control)
Does this sound right? is it long enough,
I feel physically and mentally ready for it i've just seen some people have had to wait longer!

Hi, sorry about you failed attempt. I have just had a BFN at attempt 4 (3 recent). My clinic have always asked if I want a break. I have always said I am keep to go ahead again asap so that’s what I have done. Your story sounds similar to mine and I’d say if you’re ready and the clinic is happy then go for it! I am on a refund guarantee programme which states will complete within 18 months
Sorry to hear youve had all those BFN, can i ask if they've given an indication as to why this is the case?
So would you say its normal to only have the withdrawal and one period in between when going from fresh to fet?
I had failed attempt with my eggs 5 years ago NHS fresh. Then I started (first transfer) Dec 22 private with fresh and using drugs. Then 2nd attempt with natural IVF cycle Feb 24 FET. Was due for 3rd FET May (with drugs which was my choice) but it was cancelled as I spontaneously ovulated only 2 weeks after period. 3rd cycle was Jul 23. So 1st to 2nd was that quick. And the only reason I had longer to the 3rd was due to bleeding and getting my cycle regulated. If it had fallen better I would have gone again using the next menstrual cycle.

Hi. I had a failed (FET) in April (test day mid may). had the withdrawal bleed and then started the next period. I had a double transfer in June and I’m currently 9 weeks pregnant! Good luck for your transfer!

I have always had a natural period between starting fresh cycles but had both fets as soon as period came after failed fresh cycle.
So for example, I had the transfer in august last year, this failed (cue bleed), and as soon as next period started, I took oestrogen to start my fet.

Yeah i've had a natural period since the fresh! so that's good. I feel totally fine physically and mentally so just want to crack on with the next go and hope its a sucess.

I did back to back transfers in June and July and had two chemicals with euploid highly rated embryos. I was very keen to jump to the next transfer and my doctor did not oppose. Looking back I do regret it. After the second fail ALL the hormones came down. I am taking a break in August and half of September now. Best of luck!!
Sorry you've been through that, on the postive side though, atleast they implanted, our first go the little embryo didnt implant at all 
good luck with your next go, people say doing back to back can help with success and some people don't, again i think its just the roll of the dice isn't it! Good luck
I had what my clinic called back to back transfers last year but was actually a month in-between as they wanted me to have a 'normal non medicated' cycle between cycles. So I had my fresh transfer in March was sadly resulted in a chemical. My next frozen transfer was in May which was a BFN and then my third transfer in July which resulted in the little 4 month old nipper currently rolling round my bed with me! I realised the embryo grading is all bollocks too as they said they put them in quality order! Good luck! Xx

I had an early loss after a fresh transfer on the NHS, had the withdrawal bleed then started stims at a private clinic on the next natural period. The fresh transfer from that ended in another early loss/chemical. Had the withdrawal bleed and started a medicated FET on the next natural period and I have a daughter from that. So it was all back to back without any breaks. My NHS clinic wouldn't have allowed that as they ask for a least one natural period in between but I'm not sure whether that's just for scheduling reasons. It was hard but I needed to keep going. It didn't do any harm in terms of outcome for me, but everyone's different.
Congratulations on your daughter! Yeah so that's the same as us, weve had the fresh, had a withdrawal bleed and then had a natural period and are starting on day 21 from day 1 of that natural period, we are NHS

If you discussed protocol with your doctor - reasons why previous cycle may not have worked/ possible changes that may need to be made - then yes you can go ahead and do another transfer. I would encourage you to ask questions, feel comfortable and confident before moving forward. I was told that on average it takes at most 3 transfers (90% will be successful) and that it's rare to have recurrent implantation failure - where there or more normal embryos don't implant. I did three back to back transfers of chromosomally normal donor embryos and they all failed which I was told is not expected. I had an ERA afterwards that showed I needed an extra day of progesterone and now 8 months later I'm preparing for a fourth FET. Good luck to you! Hoping we both get to hold our babies soon.

Yep we had a consultation last week where we asked questions and it was very informative on next steps, he said there was no reason why it did fail, just that it can but he said he's confident we will achieve pregnancy with our next 1 or 2 frosties.
We are presuming we are transferring 'normal' embryos as i'm only 27 and from research its such a low number of eggs that are abnormal at that age, also using tested donor sperm so I dont think that should be an issue either.Clinic don't even test until over 37 or if there is a known genetic disorder.
Yes I've read that most achieve pregnancy within 3 transfers as-well with euploid embryos! Did you take a break due to the ERA or just because you needed it? Good luck to you and hopefully we get our babies <3
Hi, can I just ask when you say it takes average 3 transfer attempts 90% will be successful are you referring to embryos that have been tested so you know are normal?
General statistics online says 90% success after 3 embryos, tested ideally if they need to be i.e over the age of 37 or if there is a known genetic condition. If neither of those apply it would pressume that your embryos are normal anyway and so the 90% general statistic would apply, thats my understanding of it, our consultant has basically said that the chances of not conceiving from the 3 shots we've got would be really low as we are under 30.
Yes- the rate of true implantation failure of there or more frozen embryo transfers of chromosomally normal embryos is rare at "less than 5 percent" per the Journal of Fertility and Sterility 2021 study. This research is in line with what my doctor told me - that on average three transfers should be successful. I had three normal embryos transferred, but they were day 6 blastocysts with about 50% chance of success each transfer so then my doctor said yes-there may be an immune factor in my case but that she also thinks "we just needed better embryos." I'm about to transfer a 5 day 3AA (not tested donor egg blastocyst ) on September 1st so hopefully this time it sticks! IVF is financially and emotionally draining. I have one last 6 day blast (untested) but if this 4th transfer doesn't work - I don't know if I have the strength to do another one. Good luck to you!
