I had my first frozen embryo transfer today (5d blastocyst). As it is my first time, I would like to ask if there any advice on what activities you avoided till pregnancy test. I went for a very short walk ( after hours of resting) and am avoiding lifting and handling heavy objects. I am tense on doing even simple tasks as am afraid of miscarrying.

Hi Blueberry - if it helps, honestly whatever you do or don't do at this stage has almost nothing to do with your chances of things working out. It's all about whether that little embryo is genetically "normal" and has the right ingredients to grow into a healthy baby, and whether the uterine environment allows for it to implant and develop normally. I think we want so badly to feel like we have some control over the process and that what we eat/do is going to make a difference, but really I'm afraid this miracle is outside our control. Don't drink a bottle of gin and throw yourself down the stairs, obviously, but do take a deep breath, carry on pretty much as normal, and know that either this embryo is the one or it isn't, you just have to wait to find out. Sending big hugs, it is so hard waiting xx
Thank you so much for your feedback. We had PGT testing and it is a euploid so 🤞🤞🤞.Am currently on oestrogen tabs, prog pessaries and progesterone injections.
Just do a normal life without heavy lifting and heavy exercising. Personally, I would avoid having sex just to be on the safe side although probably it does not harm. Wishing you all the best! Going for my first FET too soon! Xxx
Good luck!! I've just got back from my transfer today too. As said above, it's up to the little embryo now, there's not much you can do except take your meds and look after yourself.I got my little girl from our first transfer, so it does happen first time. We've had a tougher time trying for a sibling, but that's another story... Try and keep yourself busy and distract yourself. I think the mental side of IVF is much tougher than anything physical we go through xxx
Drink plenty of water, like 2 litres a day and if you haven’t already, slice up a pineapple & have a slice a day with the core, drink pomegranate juice & if you can, beetroot juice. I have no idea if all the above works but feel better on my 3rd round with drinking loads of water. The wait is unbearable as you read every sign, but often the progesterone gives the trick symptoms! Wish you lots of luck, treat yourself & do not test early :). My ODT is tomorrow, praying it’s positive as it’s our last round xx
Good luck … enjoy your pupu & as lots of ladies have said we really have no control at this point 🥰I’m transferring end of the month & going to make a huge effort to enjoy my bubble xx
