Sensitive. Stopping Crinone Qn

hi everyone. Please don’t read if you’re not in the right headspace.

I’ve very luckily had a BFP on my second fresh icsi cycle with NhS. I’m currently 15dp3dt of two embryos and have been told that I don’t need to use the Crinone gel anymore. I’ve a few more left from my previous private cycle and thinking of weaning off with them over the next week as I’d be too anxious to go from 2 a day to 0.

Have any of you been through this where you stop suddenly or at this stage to offer some reassurance? I had a natural suspected ectopic miscarriage at 6 weeks back in 2020 and my luteal phase is only 12 days so I’ve always wondered if my progesterone is on the low side.

Trying to trust my body but worried at the same time. And our chances of getting this positive were pretty slim so I don’t want to do anything to risk it.

thank you and I hope you’re all doing ok x

with our little boy I did ‘wean’ off it over a week or so just for my own peace of mind (it was frozen so this was at 12 weeks though) do talk to the clinic though and tell them your concerns! On my last transfer in September they did say I could stay on the progesterone a little longer (also fresh ICSI) after I said I was worried following a few miscarriages. It wasn’t nhs this time (as now don’t meet criteria) but self funding at the same nhs clinic so not sure if me paying made them more open to it or not! Defo worth asking but this is standard at our clinic to stop on test day actually for fresh cycles and many many women have successful pregnancies after they do so that helped me to know that. Congratulations 🤗 xx

Thank you for this. That’s all very reassuring and very kind of you to reply. I’ll give my clinic a quick email tomorrow and see if they can support. Over the phone they just said that notes showed to come off but didn’t explain why. Thanks ❤️❤️❤️

Thinking of you As previous post says it would be worthwhile to let the clinic know your concerns Stress is not ideal at this time and hopefully the chat would help reassure you

Wishing you good luck for the future

Thank you. Yes very hard to not feel stressed! Thank you for replying and for the good luck wishes xo

maybe you can stay on the crinone and wean off after Xmas/NY, is that an option and would there be any harm? Perhaps check with the clinic regarding this.

Congrats btw… wishing you the best for your pregnancy x

Thank you for replying. Yes I think that’s a good idea and will keep weaning it down over Xmas. Scary though. Thank you for the good wishes. Xo
