Weight gain with Femara/Letrozole

Has anyone else experienced weight gain as a side effect of using Femara/Letrozole for fertility treatment? I'm on my 6th cycle of Femara and have gained weight, mainly in the mid section, and am struggling to put on clothes that fit before.

I am a fitness instructor and haven't changed my eating or exercise so I'm thinking it may be a side effect of the treatment and hormones combined. My chin has also decided to break out in spots - not something I have dealt with since using an IUD.

When I google, there are side effects related to weight gain for those using Femara for cancer treatment but no mention of those using it for fertility.

Anyone else?

This makes so much sense! I put on about a stone over the time I was taking Letrozole. I thought it might be because I didn't used to eat breakfast but started to eat it when I started the Letrozole, as I also started Metformin twice daily at the same time and you have to take that with food. For some reason I never considered that it could be the Letrozole, but now I've stopped taking it I've stopped putting on weight even though I'm still on the Metformin so that makes so much sense to me!

I'm glad I appear to not be the only one although I do wish it was more commonly reported like weight gain/bloating from IVF. If it really is the case.
