period delay after failed IVF

Hi, I did treatment for endometriosis in April and I did IVF in August but did not do any Egg transfer due to poor egg quality but after the first period, I’m yet to get another period……As anybody experienced this and is it normal for period delay, thanks

Hi Royalbabies10. I feel your pain I had similar situation after egg retrieval in June. I got one period shortly after. My second period hasent come since.

Ive contacted the nurses to let them know. So they ran a few blood tests & ultrasound. They mentioned it could be due to my low egg reserve.

Have you contacted your clinic so that they can run some blood tests & ultrasound?

They just prescribed me Provera. Provera is a progestin, a synthetic form of the hormone progesterone that's naturally produced in the body after ovulation. It works by correcting the hormonal balance and regulating ovulation, which may help with irregular, missing, or unusually heavy periods.

I am hesitant to take it. But now Im feeling desperate to just get my period. Im sure as you are too I have tried drinking red wine ( might sound strange but worked for me in the past) & heating pads to induce my period. I will try that again tonight before I move to meds.

Hi Royalbabies. This can take up to 3 months to return to what is normal for you. If longer then you need to see your GP/clinic. Good luck! Diane

After my IVF in July I didn't get another period for about 45-50 days. I also had endomitrios. I went for acupuncture and was recommended some Chinese herbs. After 2-3 days on the herbs I ovulate and got my period 14 days later. After calling the clinic they told me it was normal for the period to be delayed. Have you tried acupuncture?
