Oestrogen priming

Hi. Was wondering if anybody has any experience or views on oestrogen priming during ivf cycles?

I have PCOS and during my last cycle we had lots of smaller follicles that didn’t grow at the same rate, so by the time the lead follicle reached the desired size there were only a small number of other follicles. We collected 6 eggs which wasn’t bad.

Now the clinic have suggested oestrogen priming meaning I take oestrogen pills for the month prior to my ivf cycle to try and encourage more balanced growth of the follicles.

I’m a bit worried that taking the extra oestrogen might be a bit too much as I’ve read milder ivf cycles tend to produce better quality eggs so not sure what to do. Does anybody have any thoughts or advice? I’m confused! X

They have suggested a similar approach with myself but haven’t decided what to do. If anyone could answer this post - would be grateful
