Just wanted to check in as I am finding it hard to figure out much about averages, everyone’s numbers seem so different!
I am 35, slightly low amh, no other issues. Using a donor. We retrieved 8 eggs from 16 follicles- 5 mature- 5 fertilised- 1 day 5 fresh transfer and 1 day 6 frozen sent off for testing.
Does that sound like a pretty normal response?
Thanks so much for the replies, find these boards so helpful!

I am not a doctor or embryologist but 2 blastocysts out of 5 fertilised eggs sounds like a good number. The number of follicles has never been used in the overall review of the cycles in my case. It is an indication of how many eggs to expect but not all follicles will grow enough and sometimes you can get empty follicles. I had a cycle with 5 empty ones.
Once you get the eggs the number of follicles monitored during the process is no longer relevant.
I don't really know. I think the number of eggs has more to do with the AMH than the age. And the AMH tends to be lower the older you are, but sometimes you see older women with high AMH and vice versa. I have read plenty of stories in here of women with less eggs than you who managed to have a baby. So I ve got my fingers crossed for you🤞
I had three cycles in my late 20s where 10 eggs were collected each time so 8 at 35 sounds great. Obviously every clinic has different stats but mine say that the “average result” is that 50% of eggs collected will fertilise and 50% of those will become embryos. You are basically bang on that which is good 😄
