hi all after a failed fet last month we are due to start a new cycle and back on the waiting list for new ivf treatment. Last cycle only produced 2 eggs .
had one fresh transfer day 3 which was my baby who i lost at 21 weeks. We then tried a fet which failed.
I only obtained 5 eggs 3 were immature and 2 which ive just stated above so not a great cycle. I have pcos and am 26 . Healthy bmi a good amh and no other issues.
They put me on 112.5 gonal f i think this was a very low dose. Hence the outcome.
I am thinking to take these supplements nac , co enzyme q10 and gluthanione . Can anyone tell me at what dose shall i take these .
My nac is 600 mg so how much shall i take a day?
Conenzyme q10? Is 600 mg
And gluthanione 1800 mg can any one tell me the doses you took and were effective for pcos/ivf
Hi Pcosivf. I would check i it’s ok with your specialist first. Remember your body has to sort everything out and you don’t want any inactions. Good luck. Diane
Hi, NAC is a precursor to glutathione and more affordable so you probably don't need to take both. I was on NAC 600mg x 2 /day until EC and reduced to 1/day post EC for FET
There are studies on myo-inositol with PCOS women. It All Starts With The Egg book talks about it more.
I went on a private fertility coaching programme by a functional nutrition specialist for 4 months, and her support was priceless. Helped us adjust our diet and supplementation to navigate the IVF journey. Maybe you could speak to one too? Ours does single consultations
hi, just curious about NAC. I'm taking it but I don't have PCOS. I want to help my egg quality for ivf in the new year. Is it good for egg quality too or specifically for pcos? I don't want to mess up my chances xx thanks x
Kilk22 I don't have PCOS but I've been on NAC 600mg since Jan/Feb and upped to 1200mg since April/May. It's shown to improve egg quality in clinical studies and I have not seen any adverse effect on my EC results though all my 3 x EC cycles have been positive and I banked 1 or more euploid embryos per cycle, I'm 43 years old. I have not given a live birth though, just had one euploid FET.
This page sums up NAC nicely with references to relevant studies:
Thanks so much. Great to get that information. I am 41 so want to give it my best shot with my own eggs. I hope you have success with your frozen embaby 🫶🏼🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 2024 be kind to us all 🙌🏽
Hi! I am very sorry that the first cycle of IVF didn't work I have PCOS too. Our clinic recommended Proxeed for both me and my other half, we also took CoQ10 in the form of ubiquinol, Vitamin D spray and probiotics. Because of my PCOS I also took myo-inositol, which I have found to help me get more regular periods and process sugar better. Good luck!
