Negative test, cramping

Hi 👋

We are 12 days post transfer and have done a pregnancy test this morning as directed, which is negative.

I still have lower tummy and back cramps, does anyone know if this is this normal?

I’ve spoken to out nurses and they said it’s probably unrelated, but I’ve never had any problems before and it’s only been since transfer xx

Hi i am sorry for your negative , i had a negative fet last week. I also had cramping and back pain its likely due to the progesterone and oestrogen. They will likely tell you to stop the medication and wait for a bleed. This will be quiet heavy and painful . For me i had alot of period like pain and dull stomach pain .

Lots of love

Hi 👋 Thank you for your reply ❤️ So sorry for your news also. It’s heartbreaking isn’t it 💔 Yeah I have stopped meds as of today. I have a feeling the two week wait will be a lot harder next time, as this was our first time xx

Hi, so sorry to hear about your negative test. The cramps can be caused by the medications unfortunately and are quite common. Sometimes you think a symptom means something and it means nothing, or something else entirely. As Hidden says, the bleed after a cycle can be heavier and more painful than normal, and some seem to get cramps they have never had before. I typically get very bad period pain and I found they were no worse than normal. Coming off the drugs can also make you feel rough physically and mentally. So just look after yourself over the next few days to a week or so while you stop the medication, and the cramps should soon calm down x

Thanks so much for your reply 💜 Just trying to keep busy atm. At least I’ll be more prepared for next time, we were so hopeful thinking the cramps were implantation xx

Hi BabyBear. Have you been on pessaries since transfer? If so, it could be due to construction, so make sure you drink plenty of water, and hopefully it will soon pass. So sorry it’s not been your time this time and hope you’ve got plenty of support just now. Diane
